This is an oldie, but a goodie. Figured shining some light back on these would be good this way if anyone was in the market for one, they'll know what to look for. All the TTM graphs were secretarial. Signed by his wife. They're actually kind a joke when you put them next to his in person stuff, which there ain't that much of. He was basically a nasty drunk. I talked to someone who met him literally 13 times in NYC over the years, and he signed once! Not great odds. So back to the wife hitting the mail. I've talked to people who had put things in the mail out to him literally days before he died of cancer (he was in a coma at the end) and got their stuff back signed with the same graph and Best Wishes that had been coming for years. And to top it off, I found somebody that put his envelope to Gleason in the mail just a few hours before he heard he died, and guess what? He got all his stuff back signed! With the typical TTM graph. Also, a dealer I know did a private signing with Audrey Meadows, Art Carney, and Joyce Randolph. Meadows told him that Gleason didn't sign any of the fan mail. So even she knew!

OK, so let's move onto the sigs. Start with the J. In the real one's he either connects the J to the A or brings the J up to the A then quickly starts to form it from where he left off. Now look at the J's and A's in the TTM. Completely separate and look nothing like the real one's. Now go to the G and the L. He either connects them or brings the G up to the L in the real one's. Now go to the TTM and look at the G and L. Nothing like the real one's. Now go to both A's in Jackie and Gleason. Notice how he forms them kinda funny in the legit one's. He goes backwards, then comes around and either barely touches the top of the A before coming down or he just leaves them open completely. Now look at the TTM example. The A's don't look anything like they should. And last but not least, look at the K's in the real one's and compare them to the TTM example. That K is completely different. I'm sure there's even more to pick out, but I figured that was enough.

Gleason could be a very sloppy and angry signer. I've seen examples from the 1980's that were literally Jac--- and then Gl---. So very little to go by. But even with those, the J and G rules applied and were present.
